Rhubarb Roots, Past & Present covers the history of rhubarb in the world and in Washington State's Sumner ~ Pullalup valley.
The history is revealed through a series of posters, displays and artifacts. It relates interesting and fun information about the “pie plant” and it’s importance to the area’s agricultural heritage.
The purpose is to add an historical and educational element to local events that celebrate the rhubarb industry and the areas designation as the second largest provider of rhubarb in the nation.
The Rhubarb industry is still healthy and like the plant, it has strong roots.
